Thank you so much to Elle Cosimano， St Martins， MacMillan Audio & NetGalley for the opportunity to have an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review！ This will be published on January 31st， 2023。 I had heard so much about the Finlay Donovan series over the last year in the Bookstagram world。 Fun fact， the first book of the series was one of my first ebooks I purchased when I got my Kindle。 I was so excited to be able to get a copy of this high anticipating 3rd book of the series Thank you so much to Elle Cosimano， St Martins， MacMillan Audio & NetGalley for the opportunity to have an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review！ This will be published on January 31st， 2023。 I had heard so much about the Finlay Donovan series over the last year in the Bookstagram world。 Fun fact， the first book of the series was one of my first ebooks I purchased when I got my Kindle。 I was so excited to be able to get a copy of this high anticipating 3rd book of the series。 This picks up right where the last book left off。 Finlay and Vero are on the hunt to find out who EZ Clean is and was tipped off that it was someone who may be on the inside of the police force。 And the opportunity for the two to go to the citizen's police academy for the week came at the perfect time。 This is a bold statement but I think this may have been my favorite of the three？ I love that this all took place in one location and even with that there was still so much action and humor throughout！ Vero truly shines and I just love her relationship with Finlay。 They just work so well together and are each other's ying & yang。 Even though he has done some crappy things， I really like how Finlay is navigating her relationship with Steven。 She is keeping her guard up but also knows that he is the father of her children and doesn't want anything bad to happen to him。 The end of this book left it open to a possible 4th installment？！ And if we do get that 4th book I hope we learn more about Vero's history as some of it was touched upon in this book。 Angela Dawes once again does and is a fabulous narrator！ She really brings to life Finlay and gives Vero that extra spunk。 I do recommend reading the other two books prior。 This would not work as a standalone as there are just too many connecting characters that carried through the book。 The Finlay series is such a great mix of laughs， action & a bit of romance。If you are a fan of Only Murders in the Building， this book is similar vibes。 Content Warnings from Storygraph:Graphic: Gun violence， Murder， Fire/Fire injuryModerate: Sexual violence， Blood， ViolenceMinor: Body shaming 。。。more

This book is really fun， I laugh my ass of！ Love it！ The characters are always so real and grotesque at the same time， especially Finlay。 My favorite is Vero， btw， in this book I really appreciate the development！The plot is a little too twisted， maybe， and the disbelief’s suspended is a little too far， but it’s funny， so I can forgive a little too much improbability。Hope the series will continue！ Thanks Netgalley and St。 Martin Press for the arc！

This was a fun police procedural type book。 I didn’t read the first two installments so I was missing some background， but it didn’t really matter。 Vera and Finlay make a good team。 I could see this as a TV series。

I think this is my favorite Finlay Donovan book so far！Not only does Finlay Donovan have to deal with the fact the Feliks want her to uncover the identity of someone and haven't given her much time to do it。 So Finlay hands her kids off to Steven for the week so she and Vero can spend the week at Civilian Police training， where they can hopefully identify who they are looking for， and get some much-needed knowledge about police procedure that they definitely need with all the bodies piling up ar I think this is my favorite Finlay Donovan book so far！Not only does Finlay Donovan have to deal with the fact the Feliks want her to uncover the identity of someone and haven't given her much time to do it。 So Finlay hands her kids off to Steven for the week so she and Vero can spend the week at Civilian Police training， where they can hopefully identify who they are looking for， and get some much-needed knowledge about police procedure that they definitely need with all the bodies piling up around them。 While they are attending the camp we get some hilarious hijinks including a stolen car， a uniform that's way too big， and some lady's underwear。 （there are more， this is just one of my favorites） We FINALLY get some one-on-one time between Finlay and NIck， and it was soo good。 I thought the mystery aspect was quite good， there are plenty of suspects in the beginning， and Finlay and Vero slowly whittle it down until only a few are left， I had no idea who the mystery man was until it was revealed。 I am loving the characters we have come to know and met a couple of new ones who I can't wait to learn more about。 This book was funny， I actually laughed out loud a few times， and found myself smiling through most of the story at all the hijinks going on。 It's also entertaining and kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to see how everything was going to play out。 I can't wait to see what's going to happen next！ 。。。more

Huge thanks to NetGalley and St。 Martin's Press for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review！I had such a blast reading Finlay Donovan Is Killing It by Elle Cosimano back at the end of 2021， and her sequel， Finlay Donovan Knocks 'Em Dead， provided tons of fun as well。 Now we've got the third book in the series， Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun， which maintains all the over-the-top hijinks in which Finlay and Vero keep getting themselves entangled。 Admittedly， I do think Huge thanks to NetGalley and St。 Martin's Press for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review！I had such a blast reading Finlay Donovan Is Killing It by Elle Cosimano back at the end of 2021， and her sequel， Finlay Donovan Knocks 'Em Dead， provided tons of fun as well。 Now we've got the third book in the series， Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun， which maintains all the over-the-top hijinks in which Finlay and Vero keep getting themselves entangled。 Admittedly， I do think this feels somewhat nonessential to the series， almost like it's a mere stopping point between the second and fourth books。 But it's still a delight to read through， especially since we get to learn more about Vero's backstory， which in turn adds some stakes to her loyal friendship with Finlay。 The two of them have endured quite a few tough times， and I just want to see them be happy and healthy in the end。 I continue to find the romance between Finlay and Nick to be sweet， too， and I'm particularly relieved that we've finally done away with the love triangle trope that the first two books had deployed。 And then that cliffhanger ending！ It really does get me pumped up for the fourth book。 All in all， I'm excited for Elle Cosimano to continue the Finlay Donovan series。 。。。more

Rating: 3。75:5⭐️Pub day: 1-31-2023As with the previous two Finlay Donovan books this one has funny moments， witty comebacks - especially from Vero - and antics that are stress indicting as well as ridiculous！I liked this one well enough but I was very ready for a nice happy ending rather than a cliffhanger。 I might have been annoyed by the end but that won’t stop me continuing the series when book 4 comes out！

Cosimano is a talented， witty writer， however there were too many sub- plots in this third entry in the Findlay Donavan series and I didn’t appreciate the cliffhanger ending。 I like my mysteries tied up when the book ends。

This was such a great continuation of the world of Finlay Donovan。 All of your favorite characters are back （and we got a little more *action* with the hot cop）。 Full of twists and turns of who-dun-it and set up for another book。 Made for an awesome audiobook！

As always Finlay Donovan is always such a fun read。 It’s such a quick， funny， murder mystery meets some sexy time that we all need in our lives。 This story is just as unputdownable as the other two- we get the same quirky， hilarious Finlay， and her side kick V， who is always wild and causing a muck。 I always enjoy reading these and can’t wait to get to the end， in the best way; except hello; is there a book four？！ That cliffy！ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
